2018 Popular Report Waterfalls

We hope you are enjoying the Financial Highlights of North Carolina 2018, sometimes referred to as the "Popular Report." Inside this edition you will find many photographs of beautiful waterfalls located in North Carolina. While there were many to choose from, below is the list of the waterfalls selected. There is something majestic about waterfalls. The power of the continuous flow of water creates a beauty that is combination of strength and grace. Good financial practices in government are also a combination of the same elements. Powerful enough to serve the entire state with integrity and enough grace to remember that our duty of service is accountability to each individual citizen. It is our hope as you review this document you will see those very things demonstrated in the data provided. We consider it a privilege to serve those who call North Carolina home.

It is one of four major waterfalls on the Little River in this area, the others being Triple Falls, Hooker Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. Above the falls itself, the river is level and calm. The falls consists of a wide, ever-steepening slide over granite, and the water generally stays on the rock the whole way down. In some places, the water free-falls for a few feet or jumps off the rock face. https://www.ncforestservice.gov/Contacts/dsf.htm
