On November 8, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:40 a.m., the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA) will offer an ethics course by webcast exclusively for State government employees. This course, 2022 Professional Ethics and Conduct, will satisfy the State CPA Board’s annual Ethics CPE requirement [21 NCAC 08G.0401 Professional Ethics and Conduct CPE]. To register for this webcast:
- Attendees must pre-register for the webcast on the Office of the State Controller's website. The pre-registration deadline is September 29, 2022. (Payment should not be made at this time).
- On October 6, 2022, all pre-registered attendees will receive notification by email (from NCACPA) to register for this webcast. NCACPA will provide registration instructions and payment options in their email. NCACPA accepts payment by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, and American Express) and by check (payable to NCACPA). The registration fee is $56 per attendee. Only those individuals who complete the NCACPA registration and payment process will be permitted to participate in this activity.
Cal Christian, PhD, CPA, will be the course instructor. Cal Christian is a professor of accounting at East Carolina University, teaching International Accounting and Accounting for Decision Making. He is a registered CPA in North Carolina and Mississippi and has more than 10 years of experience in the public accounting profession. Cal holds a PhD from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi. He teaches continuing education classes for the NCACPA, AICPA, CPA firms, and publicly traded companies, and has been recognized as an NCACPA Outstanding Conference Speaker.
