Office of the State Controller Releases July 2024 Financial Report

For Fiscal Year 2025, when compared to the prior year through July, North Carolina experienced an increase in General Fund receipts which include tax and non-tax receipts. Tax revenues increased by $365.2 million or 15 percent, and non-tax revenues increased by $8.3 million, or 10.6 percent as compared to the previous year.

For Fiscal Year 2025, when compared to the prior year through July, North Carolina experienced an increase in General Fund receipts which include tax and non-tax receipts. Tax revenues increased by $365.2 million or 15 percent, and non-tax revenues increased by $8.3 million, or 10.6 percent as compared to the previous year.

The General Fund’s unreserved fund balance as of July 2024 was $3.1 billion as compared to $5.9 billion as of July 2023.
